While Korean cosmetics continue to drive trends, a store dedicated to K-beauty and, in particular, skincare is set to open in Glasgow. The boutique will be the first of its kind in Scotland and located in the city centre, less than 500 metres from Glasgow Central Station.
Wee Ghost Beauty, founded by a local Korean skincare devotee, will launch on Saturday, June 28 at 79 West Regent Street. Doors will be open from 10am to 6pm.

K-beauty products are widely regarded as some of the best in the world, blending unique and effective ingredients with rejuvenating skincare routines to achieve optimal results. Put simply: Korean beauty brands set standards others follow.
In the new store, you will find some of Korea’s best-loved brands, along with a good selection of vegan products.
For Wee Ghost Beauty, effective products won’t be the only thing on offer. It’s going to be a place where the customer experience really counts. The store is promising to welcome guests into a ‘friendly and inclusive environment’, giving them an opportunity to try and discuss the latest K-beauty products.
Founded by local entrepreneur Lauren Miller, Wee Ghost Beauty seeks to introduce Korean skincare to a new market - and to make Korean skincare routines accessible to all. It aims to empower consumers and support confidence building. A top priority is to ensure beauty standards continue to edge away from transforming people into someone else and instead focus on promoting ‘the best you’.

This is a personal passion project for Lauren, who has over a decade of experience working for the NHS and lecturing at Glasgow Caledonian University. She fell in love with Korean skincare during the pandemic and hasn't looked back.
Lauren said: "I believe in these products and use them every day. It is nice to have some time to focus on myself, and my skincare routine feels more like a treat than anything else. I just want everyone else to enjoy it as much as I do."
The store is situated in an elevated ground-floor unit, which means there are steps leading up to the entrance.
“As a completely independent business, location and affordability were key to us securing premises. We want to offer the best skincare at affordable prices, and understand that the steps leading into the business could pose a problem for some customers,” Lauren said.
“We are dedicated to providing our service to everyone and anyone and want all of our customers to experience the products we have on offer. As such, if anyone has any concerns about access, please get in touch, and we will help to the best of our ability.”
