With long-time makeup brands going viral for skincare, you might think it’s refreshing to see an actual skin-led company sharing the spotlight. If you’re tired of following trends or breaking the bank to avoid FOMO, you may have missed the buzz a new arrival in the UK skincare market has been creating. Let me tell you why Smuuti Skin is experiencing meteoric success - and why that moment in the sun could linger longer than most.
I don’t know about you but, for me, the overarching benefit of good skincare goes beyond healthy skin. My evening ritual allows me to pay homage to the body my soul dwells in. It’s nurturing, peaceful and, above all, a time to savour the present. Through pampering, this ‘me time’ is the ultimate escape; a moment to unwind and unpack the stresses of the day. While the skin definitely benefits, so too does my mind.

About Smuuti Skin
Smuuti Skin, founded in Finland by Beautyko Import but based on skincare principles developed in South Korea, aims to deliver Korean-made products to the masses at an affordable price. While its ‘Bestie’ pitch is heavily aimed at young consumers, the brand’s products are being devoured by those of all ages. Their appeal is universal.
Vegan and cruelty free, the range is split into three distinct collections - watermelon, kiwi and peach. While the ‘peach’ products promise to strengthen the skin’s barrier, the ‘kiwi’ products are focused on promoting clear skin. The ‘watermelon’ collection focuses on delivering the glass skin trend to those with even the dullest complexions.
With eye-candy packaging that’s tasteful as well as fun and prices that won’t break the bank, Smuuti Skin is the sassy alternative to both drugstore and online offerings being relentlessly pumped out by established cosmetic companies. I am, of course, referring to Revolution, e.l.f. and PLouise. Their forays into skincare have been such a success that now even the most devout makeup names are squeezing skin-loving ingredients into their products. Smuuti Skin is also a viable alternative to CeraVe, The Inkey List, Drunk Elephant, and Byoma. That’s how far this brand could ultimately go.

Viral skincare put to the test
OK, so I came across Smuuti Skin by chance - on TikTok. Yeah, I was scrolling! However, this brand has successfully launched its own online platform in the UK and has recently made its products available from Superdrug. While skincare accounts are two-a-penny on TikTok, Smuuti (pronounced Smootie, not smutty) stood out. I was drawn in by the colours, the vibe and, ultimately, the marketing pitch.
Let’s get this straight, I’m no teen. But, like many women of a certain age on an endless quest to find the perfect skincare combos, I was hooked. The appeal is universal. Crowds are being drawn by the stand-out ombre packaging and Smuuti’s keen desire to make effective skincare simple - even for those with sensitive skin. I’m recovering from cancer treatment, so good products that are accompanied by kindness always grab my attention.
What did I buy? I’m a hyaluronic acid junkie, so Smuuti’s £13.90 Watermelon Dew Serum was a no-brainer. As well as boasting multi-weight hyaluronic acid, this serum has brightening niacinamide, hydrating and smoothing glycerin, and antioxidant humectant watermelon extract. The product is sold in a 30ml dropper bottle.
Because I’m currently a dewy skin kind of girl, I couldn’t resist the 100ml Watermelon Dew Toner Mist, which retails for £12.90. It’s packed with skin-loving ingredients that promote an instant glow.

Finally, I succumbed to Smuuti Skin’s revered Peach Barrier Toner that will set you back £13.90. This five-star-rated product is all about nourishment and is packed with ceramides as well as peach extract. It is sold in a 130ml bottle.
I’ve quoted the full product prices above but, if you are lucky, you will find heavy discounts on the brand’s TikTok Lives. You may even bag yourself a free gift!
Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty… Buying from Smuuti was a straightforward experience. My products were delivered very quickly, in secure packaging. And the aesthetics of the products didn’t let me down. Display-worthy, the two-tone bottles are eye-catching without being brash. In spite of the collection names, none of the products I bought are fragranced. Just because something contains peach or kiwi doesn’t mean they are going to smell of them. This isn’t PLouise!
And the skincare? The stand-out buy was the peach toner. I’ve never used a milky toner before and, in all honesty, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It delivers not just skincare benefits but an instant ‘ahh’ moment. It leaves my skin feeling not just toned but hydrated and glowing. I will definitely buy it again. Even my other half loves it!
The Watermelon Dew serum does what it says on the tin. But, if you are primarily after hyaluronic acid, there are cheaper options out there. I use hyaluronic acid morning, noon and night - I get through a ton of the stuff. So, for nearly £14 a pop, this might not find its way onto my ‘must buy again’ list, nice as it is. That’s not to say I wouldn’t snap it up during a sale.
Finally, the toner mist is lovely. It delivers a serum-feeling blast of dewiness, in a matter of seconds. I’ve been using it under makeup to create an illuminated base and to also perpetuate the glass skin look. I like it! Would I buy it again? Probably.
Smuuti Skin: the verdict
If you want your skincare to be effective, look good on your dressing table and deliver Korean formulas at an affordable price, Smuuti Skin is worth exploring. I like the products and I love how they look. Self-care can be simple without being boring.
