What’s in the Beauty Bay Ultimate Mystery Box?

I ordered the box on Thursday and it arrived today (Saturday). Delivery was free (I also purchased an eye serum separately). That’s not just good value, it’s very fast delivery - something that keeps me returning to Beauty Bay. I trust the brand. I trust it on quality and I trust it to deliver on time. 

So, what was in my box?

First up, the mystery box was delivered in a plain cardboard box, featuring a cut-out B (for Beauty Bay) on the left hand flap inside. Items were covered, but not individually wrapped, with tissue and some were bubble wrapped. All the items were full size, vegan and cruelty free.

Palettes

My box had two palettes - Fiery 2.0 sixteen-pan worth £14 and the nine-pan Berries with a value of £9.50. I love Beauty Bay’s eyeshadow formulas, so these are a great addition to my shadow collection. While I was waiting for my order to arrive, I was praying the box would not include palettes I’ve already got, and I wasn’t disappointed. The brand’s eyeshadows are rich and creamy, with outstanding pigmentation and blendability.

Skincare

The box contained a 90ml tub of Chamomile and Oat Lipid Cleansing Balm worth £10. I use cleansing balm as part of a double cleansing routine, so this is perfect for me. I’ve previously used a Beauty Bay cleansing balm and was impressed. It removed makeup and left my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. Also in the box was a 150ml 5% Glycolic Acid and 1% PHA toner worth £8.50. It promises to exfoliate and brighten the skin while smoothing it. Perfect! The final skincare item was a 45ml Peeling Solution worth £6.25. It contains glycolic acid and salicylic acid - 30% AHA and 2% BHA. I’m looking forward to trying this.

Makeup

I got The Pastels Crayon Eyeliner in Blue Skies worth £7. This twist-up, self-sharpening liner is in the most stunning pale blue. I will definitely wear it through spring and summer, and, in all honesty, probably tomorrow! It’s lovely and soft. The nib is very fine, making this product great for use as a graphic liner anywhere on the face. Beauty Bay says it won’t crease or smudge.

Also in the box was the Flash 4.1g highlighter compact worth £8 and a Coral 6.5g blush compact worth £8. I can’t move on without mentioning that this blusher is so fine it feels like a cream. Blends like a dream too.

I also got an Eye Base 1 in a 15ml tube with an applicator worth £7. Thrilled this was included as I’ve always wanted to try a Beauty Bay eye base. 

A Jelly Lip Oil in Papaya was also there. It’s in a 10ml tube and is worth £7.50. I’ve already used this. It smells amazing and feels amazing. What more can I say? 

Also included was a Lip Liner Pencil in Heather worth £5.50. I’m a fan of Beauty Bay lip liners and this one will fit nicely into my collection. They are soft and creamy with no dragging or dryness. In the past, when I’ve been in a hurry, I’ve used one as a lipstick and topped with an oil. 

And finally…

My box contained the BB101 powder brush in white and silver. It’s soft and fluffy, and looks stunning. I can’t find this brush on Beauty Bay’s website, but I’d say it is worth around £8.

Was my mystery box from Beauty Bay worth it?

Yes, without question! I’m thrilled with everything in it. There is not a single item I won’t use. 

And the total value? A staggering £99.25! What a bargain!
